CONNY & DADO (Austria)
Conny & Dado are the organizers of this amazing - now successfully for already more than 10 years running - festival in Graz, Austria. They are the founders of the teaching concept "Intensive" and the owners of Conny&Dado - Danceschool in Graz, where they prove each day what fantastic teachers in all kind of different dance styles (Ballroom, Swing, Tango, Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Bachatango, etc.) they are. When their dance students describe the classes, they usually talk about the elegance and romance in the classes, the stylish and gracious moves they learn, the perfect technique which is taught, the relaxed and humourous atmosphere with witty comments which make them laugh continuously.
Conny was born in Graz and always has been interested in sports and dancing. She started working as a Ballroom dance instructor while she still was finishing her school education. When she graduated from the Academy for Dance Instructors in Vienna in 2001, she was the youngest operating dance instructor in Austria. When she met and married Dado Salsa as well as other Latin dances became more important and together they won the Austrian Salsa Championship in 2004. This was definitely the starting point of their common dancing career together and a milestone for founding their own dance school in 2007. Some years ago both fell in love with Tango Argentino, introduced it innovatively into the weekly schedule of their dance school and started with dance fusions like Bachatango or Salsango.
Dado was born in Bosnia, but has been living in Graz for more than 15 years. He always fascinated his friends with his talent for movement and music interpretation, but when he met Conny dancing became the most important part of his life (apart from her of course!). In 2008 he also finished his professional Ballroom dance training at the Academy for Dance Instructors in Vienna. Apart from teaching he now dedicates his time to photography and created the well visited website 'tanztv.com', an online source for dance photos and videos as well as a promoting tool for all the activities of Conny&Dado Danceschool.
